Our world needs power to survive. Once upon a time, the only power that mattered was the sun, and we are slowly approaching those days again with the development of reliable residential solar power. Back in those days, the sun was responsible for powering everything on the earth, from the plants and the trees to the animals and the people who hunted them. With the discovery of fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, and oil, the sun lost its importance to mankind, and we began to damage the earth with the gases and dust that were expelled as we consumed these nonrenewable energy sources. This was obviously much less clean than solar, and more dangerous.

Today, New Jersey green energy is gathering steam, and many homeowners are looking at solar panels in a new light. If you haven’t looked into Toms River solar panels for your home recently, look again. While old solar technology required homeowners to use alternate methods of power during the evening hours, modern PV technology allows solar panels to store up energy for the off hours, which means you can use solar power all day, every day, no matter what. Your electric bills will plummet, and you’ll love the savings you see, in addition to the good you’re doing for the environment.

And the environmental benefits are undeniable. Without solar panels, the average American household consumes enough fossil fuel to produce upwards of 24 tons of carbon gases a year. That’s between household uses like lighting, appliances, and other basic electric needs, and the use of automobiles. With the average consumption so high, it is no wonder that we are seeing the effects of pollution more than ever.

Solar panels are easy to invest in, and you won’t be sorry that you did. Start by consulting with an expert in solar technology. You may think this is an added expense you don’t need, but a solar consultant can actually save you money in the long run. You will learn how many solar panels you should buy and what size they should be, in addition to where they should be placed to take in the optimal amount of sunlight. Without this advice, you could end up buying more panels than you need, or installing them incorrectly. Eventually, you will have to fix that, and that will be more money down the drain, when you could have done it right the first time.

Across the nation, solar energy is becoming more and more popular. Even in New Jersey, green energy is taking off. While there are many different kinds of green energy, New Jersey solar energy is becoming particularly popular. That’s because there is no better return on your investment in terms of energy for cost than a solar energy system. If it has been a while since you looked into solar panel technology, you may be unfamiliar with some of the advances that have been made. Old solar panels were unable to function during the nighttime hours, which meant that you still needed a backup electric grid to power your appliances and keep your home running at night. Modern PV technology allows your panels to store enough energy to keep your home going no matter what.

Toms River residential solar power is growing in part because of an increased awareness about just what fossil fuels are doing to our planet. Not only to carbon emissions taint our air and heat our planet, but the debris and dust from fossil fuels pollutes our cities, infect our children with disease, and kill our plants and wildlife. With solar panel technology developing at such an admirable rate, its hard to believe that anyone would stick to their fossil fuels these days.

It is easy to get started with solar. Your first step should be to contact an expert consultant. You may believe this is an unnecessary expense, but it will actually save you money in the long run. You see, a consultant can tell you what kind of solar panels to buy, how big they should be, and where their optimal location will be. Then you can have your solar panels professionally installed, ensuring that absolutely nothing goes wrong. Without this information, you risk buying too many or too few solar panels, or placing them in the wrong place. That can lead to increased cost and decreased efficiency.

The price take on your new solar power system may give you second thoughts, but consider for a moment that all your expenses are on the front end. Your solar system will provide you with power for years to come, and your tiny electric bill, combined with the low maintenance requirements of your panels, will more than make up for the initial price tag. You can also get tax incentives for switching to solar on the state and federal level.

To join the New Jersey green energy movement, there are quite a few things you can do. Most people are already making a point of recycling, but you can also use organic products and start a compost pile to take your efforts to the next level. If you really want to make a difference in the world, you may want to consider seeking out cleaner, renewable energy resources. Oil, coal, and natural gas certainly get the job done, but they cause immense pollution, and they’re also not going to be around forever. By making the switch to residential solar power, you could lead a new movement toward a cleaner planet.

The current energy crisis has caused problems for nearly everyone. Gas prices are up, but so are utility bills. Heating and cooling homes has become quite expensive, and that’s because our stores of fossil fuels are rapidly depleting. When we run out, we’ll need to have something else in place or run the risk of losing everything. Solar energy is a great choice for new power in your home, simply because solar panels are easier to manage than the equipment needed for wind or waterpower.

You can have solar panels installed on your property to cut your reliance on traditional energy sources. When you do this, you will need to pay the price for the equipment and installation, and that can be prohibitive enough to discourage several people from taking the leap. What you must consider is that your new solar panels will give you the ability to save hundreds of dollars on your energy bills every year. Not only that, you can also apply for tax incentives when you convert to solar energy in your home, which can help you recover up to thirty percent of your original cost.

Toms River solar energy systems should be installed by a professional for several reasons. Though it will certainly cost you more money at the outset, you’re likely to save even more money throughout the year. After all, if you don’t’ choose enough solar panels or you place them in the wrong spot, you won’t gather the required sunlight throughout the day to keep your power on after the sun goes down. If spending money now helps you save a lot more money in the future, then you can certainly consider solar power an excellent investment. Find a consultant to discuss the benefits of solar power for your family today.

The use of solar panels as an alternate form of energy is nothing new, but it has been mostly used by businesses and the most dedicated New Jersey green energy enthusiasts. Because the solar panels of yesterday were not able to contain the excess energy, the panels would only work when the sun was shining, leaving consumers to see traditional energy sources whenever necessary. Because this is no longer the case, there are many more average consumers seeking Toms River solar energy for their homes. If you have been wondering what you can do to help make the world a better place, you may want to consider how solar energy might work for you.

New Jersey solar energy is easier to afford than you might think, but you must certainly be prepared for the cost of the equipment and installation. Many people make the mistake of attempting installation of the solar panels on their own to try to save money, but you should certainly consider finding a professional consultant for many reasons. First of all, you can only use the solar energy that you collect during the day, so if you don’t’ have enough solar panels or they are placed in a less than ideal spot, you won’t be able to gather as much solar energy throughout the day.

If, however, you pay for too many solar panels, you can certainly benefit from the energy you collect. You should be aware, though, that you’re not likely to collect enough energy throughout the day to make up for the price you paid for the additional panels. This is why so many people are finding consultants to get advice on solar panels for homes. With the assistance of a professional, you can get the exact number of panels you need for you home, place them in the correct spot, and have them installed quickly and efficiently. It’s certainly worth the cost to not suffer the heartache.

Once you have the solar panels installed, it wont’ take long at all for you to start seeing a difference in your power bills. In fact, if you’re using only solar energy in your home, you’ll save hundreds of dollars each year. It won’t take long at all for you to recover the cost of your New Jersey green energy equipment. Be sure to check for any tax incentives, too. In some cases, it’s possible to recover up to thirty percent of the costs in tax incentives.

Regardless of whether you intend to do a large-scale industrial, or small residential solar panel installation, as time progresses, you can expect more help to receive increasing support from state and federal government.

The majority of solar panels in use today are of the crystalline solar cell variety. This procedure requires the heating of silicon until it turns to a molten liquid at 2,900 degrees. Certain applications required the heating of silicon to this temperature and to sustain the temperature for as long as two or three days. Regardless, the initial production cost of solar energy cells presents one of the most impeding hurdles.

In order to rectify this difficulty, according to MIT’s Technology Review, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory has begun experimenting with the use of a device called an optical cavity furnace. This specialized type of furnace not only drastically improves the efficiency with which silicon heats up, but it allows designers a more dynamic and higher degree of control over the temperature itself.

In a press release, Bhushan Sopori said that optics provides a distinct advantage in the production of solar cells because they already are optimized to absorb light. This new development in heating technology already demonstrated that it potentially can increase the efficacy with which cells absorb light by .5%. This may not sound like much, but in terms of mass production, this difference represents hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings. As researchers continue to refine this process, they estimate that they can increase this figure to as much as 4%.

Residential solar installers such as Toms River Solar Panels for Your Home can look forward to further improvements in the near future for these technologies. Photovoltaic Magazine said that recently, a Japan-based company and a Belgium-based company both announced innovations that will continue to augment the American NREL’s work.

A Reuter’s article explains that another factor holding back development in this direction will be removed, soon. Between ’09 and ’10, the demand for silver from the solar energy industry nearly doubled. The limited amount of silver’s availability has provided somewhat of a hindrance to R & D. 1/10 of the total cost of materials required for the production of solar cells goes toward buying silver. At a point in the near future, producers may have the technology required to substitute copper for silver. In doing so, they would greatly increase the rate at which they could produce solar cells.

After keeping low profile on solar energy issues for some time, during the mid 2000′s, New Jersey pushed itself into the limelight to become one of the country’s most aggressive solar energy system proponents.

The New York Times reported that literally every school within township limits of Toms River, NJ, is equipped with some form of solar paneling in 2005. Since then, solar paneling produced at least 2.5 million kilowatts of energy. The school’s superintendent reported that since they installed these panels, the district profited over $1 million by selling surplus energy back to the state. On top of that number, it saved approximately $650,000 in energy bills.

By no means does Toms River Residential Solar Power constitute an exception in New Jersey. Along with Connecticut and 8 other states, New Jersey state law now requires that any new construction of school facilities includes some component of renewable energy utilities including, but not limited, to solar panels.

Educational institutions in NJ have set the tone that other institutions feel increasingly compelled to follow in switching to renewable energy. Between the tightening restrictions from energy regulations that never quite seem to quit or even slow down, to the rising cost of power itself, it comes as no surprises that renewable energy has moved beyond its previous status as an exclusively “green issue” in to a serious concern of economically minded folk as well.

In the nearby school district of Scarsdale, the board passed an agreement that they would reduce the demand they put on the state’s energy grid more at least 10% below the average rates in the 1990′s. Scarsdale district allotted a total of $7 million toward the goal of lowering the total amount of wasted electricity in its buildings at the secondary and primary education levels. In addition

Scarsdale High School itself received $15,000 as part of the agreement. This money will go toward the replacement of windows in their building, which is almost a century old. They will also build a green house inside of the school as well as an apple orchard outside.

Funding is available for schools and other public institutions interested in making the transition to green energy now more than ever before. In light of all of the money available for those interested in solar initiatives, Rachel Gutter, managing senior at the U.S. Green Building Council says that the largest hurdle to surmount is not cost. Rather, it is the illusion of what the cost of transitioning to solar was 10 years ago, as opposed to what it is now, which is non existent.

If solar panels bring to mind images of homes belonging to ex flower children that grow five feet tall corn stocks in their front yard and do not care if their residences remain an infamous eyesore to the neighborhood, you have a lot of catching up to do. One just has to look at the immense progress that is taking place in the world of residential solar power in the last five years to know how easily these images will be eradicated from the collective conscious.

A consultation with the experienced solar power specialists at Toms River Solar Energy Systems will quickly assuage any fears you have of this being anything less than a professional venture. There will be no bare wires or backyard mechanic solutions present, rather knowledgeable professional people who will install solar panels that will fit seamlessly and inconspicuously into any style of architecture.

Some bad press has come up from the currently strenuous task of disposing of solar panels to the extent of questioning if this aspect outweighs the environmental benefits of installing solar panels to begin with. First off, the estimated life span of modern solar panels is thirty to forty years that place their durability far beyond that of the modern automobile and unfortunately most household appliances. However due to the hyper consciousness of the solar panel community even this has been addressed. Photovoltaic molecules, the content of solar panels that poses a challenge during the disposal process are able be recycled and applied to the production of new photovoltaic molecules as well as glass and aluminum.

If a lightening of your electric bill isn’t enough, the tax breaks that one can receive for installing solar panels may put you over the edge. Within New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania the credits start at thirty-five percent the cost of the system, up to positive credits for individuals who produce more energy with their system than they consume during the course of the billing period. New Jersey specifically rates very highly on many solar advocacy websites due to its incentives available to install this money saving technology. Just think with what you can do with the savings accrued once these solar panels quickly pay for themselves. Take a look at your power bill now and think of the last few purchases you have made, would those extra dollars have helped you make that purchase faster and with less guilt? Perhaps.

A Renewable Portfolio Standard represents a commitment made on behalf of a state to convert some percent of its power consumption to renewable resources away from fossil fuels by an established deadline. At a promise for 20% reliance on renewable power by the year 2020, the state of New Jersey boasts one of the most ambitious RPS’s of any country in the United States.

This article provides some information about NJ’s RPS and what about it makes effected locations such as Toms River solar energy-friendly with regard to finance both currently and in the foreseeable future.

The RPS for NJ originally developed as part of a large-scale overhaul of NJ’s renewable energy policies for solar panels and other related resources. It set a goal for May of 2008, requiring that a minimum of .16% of total energy sales made in the state by electricity providers would be solar energy. In April of 2006, New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities (BPU) modified the regulations further to make them even more demanding of providers.

The Solar Advancement act passed in January of 2010. This act against intensified NJ’s attention to converting to solar power. Since this act passed, any supplier or provider of power not in compliance with the requested amount of renewable energy production by the end of the 2021 must provide “alternative compliance payment” (ACP) as well as specifically a solar alternative compliance payment (SACP).

Beginning in June of 2008, the ACP for non-complying providers is $50 for every Megawatt hour under the state mandate. The SACP changes according to an eight-year schedule which increases as time goes on.

As a homeowner, you may ask how, exactly, and if it all of this policy banter impacts you. The answer is two fold:

The more pressure state government puts on your electricity provider to go solar, the more likely these companies are to shoulder the funding with homeowners interested in installing solar panels for homes. You can expect rebates from the state of New Jersey towards these ends much to the likes of what California provides in the near future.

As legislation exerts an increasing amount of pressure on electricity providers to go green, this equates to substantial rebates to residents who comply and follow suit. In other words, a solar energy investment you make now is guaranteed to increase in the amount of money you save per year as these regulations continue to tighten.

As the population of our planet Earth continues to rise while our supply of fossil fuels dwindles, it becomes clear that we must turn to alternative sources of energy if we want to maintain a healthy environment for future generations. The more coal, petroleum, and natural gas we burn to power our everyday lives, the more harmful toxins and greenhouse gases we release into the atmosphere. The large majority of scientists today agree that these greenhouse gases have been and continue to lead to global warming and changes in our climate, which will likely have disastrous effects further down the line.

But Americans have a more immediate problem to deal with these days: the downturned economy. Job lay-offs and pay cuts have affected millions of people across the country, particularly in the lower and middle classes. These hard-working citizens now find themselves looking for ways to cut costs and save in every aspect of their lives.

What if there was a simple and affordable way to both break your dependence on unsustainable energy sources and save on utility bills at the same time? The answer is actually located right above our heads! Instead of relying on fossil fuels to light and heat our homes, we have the knowledge and technology to harness the power of the sun for our every day energy needs.

Solar power is endless and infinitely cleaner than conventional fuels which contribute to the decline of the environment. Having solar panels installed in your home will not only minimize your carbon footprint, it will drastically lower your utility costs. No longer will you be a slave to large electric and heating companies who raise their prices every year and charge you extra fees. Using solar power also entitles you to tax breaks and incentives from the government to help you save even more.

Verengo Solar can help you make the switch to solar power for a price you can afford today. Their experts will handle everything, so you can sit back and watch as your home becomes more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.

As Americans, we are currently facing a multitude of challenges due to the sinking economy. Many have experienced financial hardships and are looking for new ways to cut costs in all areas of their lives, especially when it comes to monthly bills.

While the economic downturn poses a major problem today, we also have a particularly large issue to deal with that will become more and more significant in the long term: global warming and other environmental harm. It is obvious that our climate is changing and will continue to do so in ways that will negatively impact future generations. Most scientists agree that much of this climate change is man-made, caused by carbon emissions and toxins we release into the air when we burn fossil fuels. Unfortunately, fossil fuels, which include coal, petroleum, and natural gas, are currently the main sources of power in the United States. The longer we continue to rely on these for our energy needs, the more harm to the environment we will cause. Furthermore, fossil fuels are a finite resource, meaning we will eventually run out. It is extremely important that we turn to alternative energy sources before this occurs.

The good news is, we currently have the technology to end our dependence on these detrimental methods – plus it is easier and more affordable than you think to employ this new technology in your home or office. Solar power, which uses photovoltaic cells to harness the sun’s infinite rays, is a fantastic alternative to our conventional energy sources. Toms River Solar Panels For Your Home is a highly reliable and cost-efficient way to take advantage of this clean, renewable resource. But solar power for homes doesn’t just help save the environment, it can also help you save thousands on your utility bills in the long run, plus earn you rebates and incentives in the short term.
